Building Learning Power

Our school is one of the lead school's in the area for using Building Learning Power. This is about teaching children good ways to learn and to have good attitudes and qualities. We invent characters to illustrate what we mean e.g Carrie Ongoing , Ahmed Aneffort and Percy Vere.

We use puppets and models as often as we can. BLP is based on 4 R's , These are Resilience, Resourcefulness, Reflectiveness and Reciprocity. We use them all the time and have assemblies and class lessons on them.

Every term we have a BLP day where we just work on one of the aspects of BLP.
We use lots of puzzles to foster observation. Can you guess what these pictures are?
