WHITEWASY ROCKS. I joined when i was Y3 since then i have been loving it here i only have 1 left. I am in Y5 my teacher is Miss Whitehouse she is verey kind. There are lots of after school activtes here. like book club which I am in my teahcer runs it we have to 7 books then we choose which one is the best one. I have fond memories of Whiteways and left in 1981. I would love to know what happened to any of the staff from 77-81. I'm now a primary school teacher myself and often think back to those days. Canal barging and sword dancing with Mr Thornsby, Castleton for the residential and swimming at Attercliffe baths. Good to see the school doing well!

I have been a community governor at Whiteways for about 5 years, and have enjoyed every minute. The one thing above all about Whiteways is the friendly cheerful staff and pupils. It is lovely to see the comments from pupils past and present.

If you are thinking about joining Whiteways school, then dont hold back because whiteways is a brilliant , fun , friendly school and you will love it on your first day.
It has fantastic play equipment , and teachers make challenging lessons fun.Mrs Carter , Mr Summerhayes and Mr Moss are always encouraging us to try hard in lessons and mostly all of us children have top marks.
We have no bullying in our school and to make sure this stays the same we have an annual anti bullying week were ,to show our support , we are allowed to wear something blue instead of normal school uniform.
We have a range of cultures and everyone is treated the same,
so get dialing now and you could be here having fun with us in just a weeks time!

i rely like this school am a student there i like the people there i think they are cool people when i first went to the school i didn't know any English i white ways helped and pushed me to my full potential but. I also got bullied at first but white ways took action as soon as they found out and now i am one of the coolest kids in the school and i am a very good roll model for the younger kids in the school, its very sad too move on too secondary school if its possible they can build a secondary school on the field but its very sad too live the best school in Sheffield i will always miss you thank you white ways don't forget me from Daringtone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

whiteways is the best primary school

Hello! I go to whiteways junior school and it realy is a top school. When i first came my english was very poor and there was no-one that spokemy language so whiteways got me an interpreter and with her help and all the teachers help i worked my way from bottom group to top group and now revising for my SAT's tests. My teacher says i am very good but need to be careful and stop makin silly mistakes because it loses me easy marks so i took her advise and am hoping i get a very high score and reach my target. Who knows maybe i get an even higher level. Fingers crossed i will!!!!!!!!! I just want to say thank you whitewaysjunior school i learned LOTS in just four whole years. Thank you!

I was in whiteways about 4 years ago (I was in 4FI)...It was the best year i had my whole life....It is an amazing school...The staff is great, the school is great, eveyrthing about it is great....I really miss it alot, i miss all my friends there and all my teachers...I just wish i could come and visit it....When i come to Shefeild again...It will be the first thing i'll see...

I used to be an old pupil at Whiteways Junior School and i think it was the BEST school i've been so far; even better than my secondary school (no offence Fir Vale). It has alot of experianced teachers and the new school extension looks really good. Also, some new playground equipment was installed just before I left, and that is also great to play on. Whiteways Junior School incouraged me alot and i was able to get really high marks! The music/art facilities are excellent and the teachers are really friendly. KEEP IT UP WHITEWAYS. ( THANKS Sahir! Hi, my name is majid mah and i was a student at whiteways school who left at the year 2000. I now currently in Y11and study at Fir Vale School. I wanted to know about a previous teacher that i was really close to and used to teach me while i was in Y4 and Y5, her name was Ms Simpson. Have just been on friends reunited and seen that Mr Summerhayes was on there. I left Whiteways in 1985 (Maiden name was Lucas). I used to Mr Summerhayes class, (can't remember what year), so it was nice to see him on the website.

Hi there, I left here in 1985 and glad to see the old place still standing. Many happy memories of the school, looks to have never changed. Finest memory was being responsible for ringing the school bell, which meant I always left class a few minutes early.

I really enjoyed looking at your site. It was great to see so many interesting things going on. I especially enjoyed seeing the lovely grounds and quads ( is the pond still there? ) and the wonderful facilities you have in your play areas. The plans for things like this were being talked about many years ago when I was a teacher at your school so it is great to see that you have put them into action.

Whiteways Junior School is the best school that i have been in. the children are sweet and the staff are kind helpful they are always handy they you need them.
